Note to editors: This work was present in several source records for different phyla, then an intern mistakenly fused them all into a record for a later publication as added by WRIMS, with authorship of Verrill & Smith 1874, which is a 1874 reprint of the Verrill original text as originally published within Spencer F. Baird's 1873 Commission report. Some taxa-specific information may have been lost. This record applies only to work by Verrill, and especially for Polychaeta. Please adjust for other taxa, as necessary.
