Taxonomy ? non P. halophila sensu Tzschaschel (1979), considered a species inquirenda by De Smet (1996:40,88). As De Smet (2015)points out, the species described as P. halophila by Tzschaschel (1979) bears some resemblance with P. francescae, "but can not be compared seeing the poor and unreliable trophi description not based on SEM, imperative for the small Proales species".
