Taxonomy Strictly following the ICZN rules, Bathypectinura is a junior homonym of Ophiocrates. However, Ophiocrates was created for a juvenile form and Clark (1909) was unaware of the conspecificity of the species. It may be best to officially suppress Ophiocrates to maintain stability. [details]
