Editor's comment According to Villalobos-Guerrero et al (2022) their review of Composetia left the genus with "the revision of Composetia [...] yet to be completed, and the precise taxonomic positions of 36 species previously assigned to this genus remain to be clarified." Their Table 3 indicates generic status of 51 possible Composetia species, some of which they place in other genera. Ceratonereis (Composetia) may retain some species name combinations in WoRMS records they have not definitely placed in Composetia in their Table 3. They provide a key to Composetia which includes only eight species. [details]
