[details]
Synonymy There is uncertainty as to whether Ampharetides is distinct. In Hartman supplement she changed the status to valid from invalid, but others treat as a Terebellides synonym, although it is unclear on what basis either placement was/is made, other than follow-the-leader. Holthe in 1986 treated it as valid in one catalogue, invalid in another. [details]
