The medusa fauna of the mid North Atlantic Ocean between 24 degree and 55 degree N along approximately 30 degree W is studied. Two Hydromedusae new to science, Oceania tydemani and Annatiara lempersi, are described. The differences in fauna south and north of 42 degree N, and faunal borders near 50 degree , 48 degree , 45 degree , 35 degree , 30 degree , and 34 degree -37 degree N are discussed. The vertical distribution and for some species the diurnal migration and subtropical subemergence are recorded.
