From editor or global species database
Synonymy Fisher (1928) tentatively referred this species and B. membranacea to Brisingella (now Hymenodiscus). However, only detatched arms of this species are known and an unambiguous placement into any genus seems unlikely pending collection and examination of less damaged material. It also seems unlikelly that species based on such limited material will remain valid after more material is studied. [details]
