Two species of Aphroditidae were found living in the Argentine Biogeographic Province, Aphrodita longicornis Kinberg, 1855, and Aphroditella alta (Kinberg, 1855). The first was originally described from near the mouth of the Rio de la Plata and the second from Rio de Janeiro. Aphroditella Roule is redefined. The synonymy of both species is discussed.
