A collection of sponges from the Bay of Naples includes a SCLEROSPONGIA, two LITHISTIDA, 19 TETRACTINELLIDA and two EPIPOLASIDA, which are studied systematically in this paper. Three species are new for the Italian coasts, one for the Mediterranean Sea. Two new species are proposed: Calthropella recondita and Pachastrella echinorhabda (TETRACTINELLIDA, ASTROPHORIDA).
