Terschellingia stenocephala sp. nov. is characterized by middle size body with a strongly tapered anterior end, minute buccal cavity funnel-shaped, absence of labial sensillae and subcephalic setae, circular amphidial fovea situated comparatively far from anterior end, pharynx with a distinctly rounded posterior bulb, large ventral gland, tail elongated with a long filiform portion up to 70-80%. An identification key to valid species of genus Terschellingia is given.
