@article{RAS:SourceID:284244, abstract = {During a 2015 study of the benthic amphipods of the coast of Hurghada, Red Sea, Egypt, one unknown species of the amphipod genus Cerapus Say, 1817 (Ischyroceridae) was found associated with intertidal red and brown macroalgae and hydroids. This species is herein described as new and illustrated. It is distinguished from its congeners by the black spots on the first and second antennae and by the morphology of the urosome and telson. This is the first representative of this genus from the Red Sea.
