Diagnosis Siphonophorae without apical pneumatophore, with a nectosome typically formed by one or two nectophores of different shape, except in Hippopodiidae which have several nectophores. A single bract is developed on each cormidial unit, with the exception of the family Hippopodiidae where bracts are absent.
