Taxonomic remark Giesbrecht, 1888 mentions C. vanus (page 335), but no figures and no description presented. Giesbrecht, 1893 finally described the taxa. However, The diagnosis of the genus is very limited - but strictly it is sufficient to be considered as valid under the Code. The species description is even more limited - it is the length measurement only (although you could argue that the generic diagnosis obviously applies to the included new species). The depth and locality do not count under the Code. [details]
