Taxonomy Sharma et al. (2013: 198-199) were the first to write unambiguously that Sareptidae belong in the Nuculanida. In addition to the phylogenetic reconstruction derived from molecular characters, there is also the absence of nacre which is discrepant with a placement in Nuculida [details]
